Client Details
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our client's Manufacturing team. This role is critical in ensuring that all components and assemblies meet stringent quality standards required for defense and aerospace applications. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in quality assurance within a regulated manufacturing environment and a strong understanding of industry standards such as AS9100 and ISO 9001.
Description
The Quality Engineer - Aerospace will be responsible for the following:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and industry requirements.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and root cause analyses to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to establish quality standards for materials, processes, and finished products.
- Prepare and maintain documentation including quality plans, inspection reports, and corrective action records.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as Six Sigma, Lean, and FMEA.
- Interface with customers and regulatory bodies during audits and reviews.
- Ensure adherence to AS9100, ISO 9001, and applicable defense/aerospace quality standards.

Profile
The ideal Quality Engineer - Aerospace will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in quality engineering within aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and MIL standards.
- Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (e.g., SPC, PPAP, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
- Experience with NADCAP requirements and special processes.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and quality management software.
- Certifications such as ASQ CQE or Six Sigma Green Belt.
