Construction Multifamily Superintendent - North Jersey

The Construction Multifamily Superintendent will oversee all on-site operations for ground up wood frame multifamily construction projects up to 100 units, ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery. This role is integral in coordinating crews, subcontractors, and vendors while managing the day-to-day progress of projects from inception to completion.

General Contractor with over 50+ years in the business based in New Jersey with projects all over Central / North Jersey. They have a variety of construction in their portfolio and are constantly building - multifamily, healthcare, educational work, commercial, both ground up and interiors.

Description

The Construction Multifamily Superintendent - North Jersey - will:

• Oversee daily operations on multifamily construction sites, ensuring projects run smoothly and are completed on time and within budget.
• Manage and supervise field staff, subcontractors, and vendors, providing leadership and direction to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Review and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications.
• Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion of each phase of construction.
• Monitor project budgets and assist in cost tracking and forecasting.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure construction quality, safety, and adherence to design specifications.
• Act as the primary point of contact between the project team, client, and subcontractors.
• Resolve any on-site issues or conflicts that may arise and make decisions to keep the project moving forward.
• Provide detailed reports on progress, potential risks, and delays to senior management.

Profile

The Construction Multifamily Superintendent - North Jersey should have:

• 10+ years of construction superintendent experience

• Must have experience building ground up wood frame multifamily projects of at least 75+ units and $20M in value

• OSHA certification preferred

• Demonstrated success leading projects and managing a large team

Must have at least 2.5 years spent at each job listed on resume to be considered
