They can work in a variety of industries, including foods, electronics, textiles, and automobiles.A typical day for a quality engineer may include:
• Inspecting finished products and carefully assessing the quality across several samples from a particular line
• Performing tests on sample products to determine how they stand up in inspections of durability, aesthetics, and other measures of quality
• Collecting and analyzing data on product performance and quality, and preparing reports for upper management and other departments based on the findings.
