Civil Construction Project Engineer

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to support the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a background in civil engineering or construction management and a passion for delivering successful projects on time and within budget.

Description

• Assist Project Managers and Superintendents in coordinating daily construction activities

• Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents

• Prepare RFIs, submittals, and change order requests

• Track project schedules, budgets, and deliverables

• Maintain and update project documentation, including logs and reports

• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies

• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, ensure quality, and promote safety

• Support procurement of materials, equipment, and services

• Collaborate with field and office teams to resolve technical and logistical issues

Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field

• 1-3 years of experience in civil construction (internships and co-ops considered)

• Proficiency in construction software (AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Procore, MS Project, etc.)

• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Working knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

• EIT certification or progress toward PE license

• Experience with DOT or municipal infrastructure projects

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
