Senior Manufacturing Engineer
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer leads complex process development and continuous improvement initiatives across electronics and battery product lines, optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance quality, safety, and productivity. This highly visible role collaborates cross-functionally, supports new product introductions, and provides technical leadership and mentoring to drive manufacturing excellence and career growth opportunities.

Description
- Partner with manufacturing supervisors to design, develop, and continuously improve processes that maximize efficiency, repeatability, and compliance with AS9100 standards.
- Create and implement production tooling, jigs, and fixtures to enable precision assembly and machining operations.
- Deliver daily technical support to manufacturing teams, resolving issues related to equipment, process variation, and nonconforming parts.
- Collaborate with Quality, Production, and Supply Chain teams to drive waste reduction, workflow optimization, and throughput improvements using Lean and Six Sigma principles.
- Analyze manufacturing costs, identify key drivers, and recommend process enhancements or automation to improve efficiency.
- Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Serve as a technical authority in documenting current and new manufacturing processes.
- Manage the transition of new products from development to full-scale production, including process validation and tooling readiness.
- Initiate and execute engineering change requests and orders.
- Work with operations leadership to develop long-term manufacturing strategies aligned with business objectives, capacity needs, and technology roadmaps.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering technical excellence and professional growth.
- Promote a data-driven culture by leveraging process data, statistical analysis, and digital manufacturing tools to identify trends, optimize processes, and support capital investment decisions.
Profile
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Aerospace or Manufacturing Engineering
- 5-7 years of progressive manufacturing engineering experience in the aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industry.
- Experience with new product introduction
- Experience developing process routings, work instructions, and PFMEAs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with team members at all levels of the organization
