A well-established Mid-Atlantic construction contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their preconstruction team. This company has over 50 years of success delivering earthmoving, site development, underground utilities, and heavy highway projects across PA, NJ, and DE.

Description

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for sitework, excavation, utilities, and infrastructure projects
• Analyze plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop competitive pricing
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes
• Collaborate with project managers and leadership on bid strategy
• Maintain cost databases for labor, equipment, and materials
• Identify risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving alternatives
• Support bid submissions and preconstruction efforts

Profile

• 3+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil, sitework, or infrastructure construction
• Strong understanding of earthwork, utilities, and site development scopes\
• Ability to read and interpret plans and technical documents
• Experience with estimating software (e.g., HeavyBid, Agtek, AutoCAD preferred)
• Strong analytical and communication skills
