Located in Rockland County, New York, this advanced manufacturing facility spans 160,000 square feet and employs around 350 people. It specializes in producing high-precision drug delivery systems within ISO-certified cleanrooms. Recent expansions have added 28,500 square feet to enhance warehousing, cleanroom, and production capabilities to meet growing healthcare demands.
Description
- Ensure compliance with cGMP and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Keep detailed logs of tasks performed and communicate issues to supervisors.
- Prepare molds for daily production and verify molded components meet dimensional and visual quality standards.
- Inspect, clean, repair, and modify molds, components, and tooling using precision instruments.
- Analyze blueprints and defects to support mold accuracy and performance improvements.
- Operate CNC machines and use hand tools to fabricate, assemble, and polish mold components.
- Perform close-tolerance machining and layout work based on detailed drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate with other departments and recommend design or material improvements as needed.
Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or related experience preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a mold or tool maker.
- Strong understanding of injection molding processes and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficient in operating tool room equipment with solid mechanical and mold-making skills.
- Good mathematical aptitude and ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical and ISO standards.
- Skilled in using precision measuring instruments and CNC machinery.
- Occasional travel may be required.
