Construction Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee the day-to-day operations of commercial construction projects in the Miami area. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong background in commercial builds, including office spaces, retail centers, mixed-use developments, and other ground-up or renovation projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time.

Description

• Manage on-site construction activities from start to finish, including subcontractors, schedules, inspections, and site logistics.

• Coordinate and supervise all construction activities to ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and local codes.

• Maintain daily logs, safety records, and project documentation.

• Schedule inspections and manage relationships with city officials and permitting agencies in the Miami-Dade area.

• Ensure strict adherence to project timelines and budgets.

• Monitor job site safety, enforce compliance with OSHA standards, and conduct regular safety meetings.

• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to resolve issues and keep stakeholders informed.

• Proactively identify and mitigate potential delays or quality issues.

Profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction, preferably in the Miami/South Florida region.

• Proven experience managing ground-up and/or major renovation projects ranging from $1M to $20M+.

• Solid knowledge of building codes, permitting processes, and inspection requirements specific to Miami-Dade County.

• Strong leadership and communication skills; able to manage teams and subcontractors effectively.

• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, blueprints, and schedules (Procore, Bluebeam, or similar software experience preferred).

• Fluent in English; Spanish fluency is a plus.

• OSHA 30 Certification required; First Aid/CPR preferred.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
