Description
The Project Director - Leading Multifamily Developer - Raleigh will be responsible for overseeing projects from start to closeout, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule alignment. This is a high-impact role with opportunities to lead major multifamily and commercial projects in the Raleigh area.
Key responsibilities include:
- Strategic Leadership: Set direction for project teams and office operations; align project delivery with company goals and regional growth strategy.
- Business Development Support: Partner with senior leadership to identify new opportunities, strengthen client relationships, and expand market presence in the Raleigh area.
- Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and develop project management staff; implement training programs and succession planning to build a high-performing team.
- Executive Oversight: Monitor financial performance, risk management, and compliance across multiple projects; approve budgets, schedules, and major contract decisions.
- Client Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison for key clients and stakeholders; lead negotiations and resolve escalated issues to maintain strong partnerships.
- Operational Excellence: Standardize processes for preconstruction, procurement, scheduling, and quality control; ensure adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.
- Preconstruction Leadership: Guide estimating, bid strategies, and subcontractor selection; provide input on design development and value engineering.
- Performance Reporting: Deliver executive-level updates on KPIs, project health, and regional performance; recommend improvements based on data and market trends.
- Culture Building: Foster a collaborative, growth-oriented environment that reflects company values and attracts top talent.
Profile
The ideal candidate for this role (Project Director - Leading Multifamily Developer - Raleigh) will bring:
- 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager / SPM with a GC or Developer
- Proven success managing multifamily projects
- BS in Construction Management or related field (preferred)
- Proficiency in construction software
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Job Offer
