Multifamily Assistant Project Manager - Charleston, SC

The Assistant Project Manager will support the delivery of ground‑up garden‑style apartment communities, beginning with a 250‑unit project kicking off in July. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong multifamily fundamentals who is looking to take on more responsibility and grow alongside a well‑funded construction organization.

Description

• Support Project Managers with day‑to‑day execution of multifamily projects.
• Assist with subcontractor coordination and run subcontractor meetings as needed.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and project documentation.
• Track budgets, cost codes, and schedule updates.
• Coordinate closely with field staff to support jobsite execution.
• Participate in site walks, progress meetings, and issue resolution.
• Assist with project closeout and turnover documentation.

Profile

A successful Multifamily Assistant Project Manager should have:

• 2-5 years of experience in construction project management.
• Multifamily experience is required, with a strong preference for garden‑style apartments.
• Stable work history required; jumpy resumes will not be considered.
• Background with reputable multifamily general contractors is a strong plus.
• Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, growth‑stage environment.
• Strong communication, organization, and follow‑up skills.
• Local to Charleston, SC preferred; Raleigh‑based candidates will also be considered.
