Estimator - Public Construction

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to help us bid and win public projects across the tri-state area. This role is ideal for a driven professional with a deep understanding of public sector construction who values integrity, stability, and trust.

Description

• Read Drawings: Analyze and interpret architectural and engineering plans and specs.

• Estimating: Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.

• Bid Evaluation: Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers.

• Client Facing: Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, and client meetings as needed

• Documentation: Maintain cost databases and historical pricing for benchmarking.

• Team Leadership: Ensure seamless hand-off of awarded projects to project management teams.

Profile

• Required:

  • 3+ years of estimating experience with a General Contractor

  • Proficiency in reading construction drawings, specs, and contracts

  • Prior experience bidding public sector projects

• Preferred:

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture

  • Professional certifications such as PMP, PE, or Architectural License
