Description

The Senior Design Engineer - Manufacturing will be responsible for the following:

• Lead the design and development of connector products from concept through production.
• Create detailed 3D models, drawings, and specifications using CAD software.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and process engineering teams to ensure design feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct design reviews, tolerance analysis, and material selection for optimal performance.
• Support prototype development and testing, analyzing results to refine designs.
• Drive innovation by researching new materials, technologies, and design methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and customer requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the design team.

Profile

The ideal Senior Design Engineer - Manufacturing will have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Design Engineering (Master's preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in product design within connector or related industries.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, or similar).
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and connector design principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities.
