Manufacturing Engineer II - Plastics - Concord, NH
My client is looking for a dynamic Manufacturing Engineer to drive innovation by creating essential engineering, manufacturing, and quality documents. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate across departments, providing hands-on process support to optimize plastic manufacturing operations.

For over 40 years, my client has been a leader in tackling complex challenges in plastic component manufacturing and CNC machining. As one of the largest North American manufacturers of machined plastic products and assemblies, they specialize in multi-axis plastic machining, metal-to-plastic conversions, and design for manufacturability.
Description
In this role you will report to the Operations Manager and be responsible for:
Providing suggestions to enhance machining operations, processes, and techniques to reduce costs or improve quality.
Developing processes by applying technical engineering principles.
Investigating and supporting the resolution of customer complaints and open CAPAs.
Driving process improvement initiatives for both new and existing parts.
Assisting in determining tooling requirements and managing tool life.
Creating work instructions and quality alerts for manufacturing, and training employees accordingly.
Supplying supplemental documentation to production departments as needed to meet customer requirements.
Creating detailed drawings using CAD software for custom tooling needs.
Gathering and reviewing specifications to meet new customer part requirements.
Performing contract reviews and collaborating with EPP to ensure deliverables are met.
Communicating effectively with customers during visits, meetings, calls, and emails.
Understanding the ECN process, initiating requests, and ensuring ownership as needed.
Profile
A successful candidate will have:
- 3-5+ years of production manufacturing experience
- Plastics, machining, and programming knowledge a plus
- Automation skills a plus
- Some sheet metal knowledge, also a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally
