5-Axis Milling Machinist - Somersworth, NH
We are seeking an experienced 5-Axis Milling Machinist to program, set up, and operate CNC equipment with a focus on high-precision, multi-axis machining. The ideal candidate will be skilled in Mastercam programming and Fanuc controls, with hands-on experience in both horizontal and vertical milling.

Description
The main responsibilities for the 5-Axis Milling Machinist include, but are not limited to:
- Program, set up, and operate CNC 5-axis, horizontal, and vertical mills
- Use Mastercam and Fanuc controls to create and optimize tool paths
- Design and implement fixtures, fixturing solutions, and set-ups for efficient production
- Maintain tight tolerances and ensure consistent part quality
- Oversee machine operators and provide day-to-day technical support
- Train team members on new machining processes and best practices
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts to increase efficiency and throughput
Profile
The successful 5-Axis Milling Machinist will have the following qualifications:
- Proven experience operating and programming CNC 5-axis mills
- Proficiency with Mastercam software and Fanuc control systems
- Strong knowledge of machining principles, tooling, and cutting strategies
- Experience with fixture design and complex set-ups
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision
- Leadership skills to oversee operators and train less experienced machinists
