Senior Superintendent - Columbus, OH
A nationally recognized general contractor is seeking a Mission Critical Superintendent to lead large-scale, high-tech projects including data centers and advanced manufacturing facilities. This is an opportunity to oversee complex builds for one of the most respected builders in the country, known for its innovation, stability, and industry-leading project execution.

Our client is a well respected and established General Contractor in the Columbus area and are looking for an experienced Superintendent to join their growing team. They have several high profile Data Center and Mission Critical projects coming up and are looking for someone to come in as a Project Manager that wants a fast track to a Senior Project Manager promotion.
They do around $800M a year on light industrial, healthcare, mission critical and commercial projects, and are well-established and respected in the Ohio Construction market. This firm has a full backlog of projects through 2024, which is why they're expanding and looking to add an experience Project Manager to their team.

Description
- Responsible for the timely, cost-effective placement of the entire projects contracted work in the field.
- Supervises sub-contractors and craft workers and ensures that work is performed efficiently, profitably, in accordance with contract documents, safely, and on schedule.
- Supervises total construction efforts to ensure project is constructed safely in accordance with design, budget and schedule. Interfaces with client/owner representative, AE representative, subcontractors, etc.
- Plans, coordinates and supervises onsite functions (scheduling, engineering, material control). Provides day-to-day coordination with onsite administrative staff in accounting, purchasing, etc., as required.
- Supervises craft employees and/or other contractors as required by the contract. Responsible for craft hiring, placement and training.
- Conducts weekly subcontractor meetings to review progress and plan work.
- Manages all self-performed and subcontracted work to ensure quality and schedule integrity of all work in progress.
- Responsible for weekly labor cost reporting.
- Assumes responsibility for productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials & equipment, and contractual performance of the project.
- Plans, coordinates and performs all work to ensure safety.
- Performs additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
Profile
- 5+ years of Superintendent experience.
- Working knowledge of construction technology and details.
- Previous Data Center or Mission Crtitical project experience required
- Candidate must be extremely proficient reviewing and understanding all construction documents including specifications and drawings.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with various parties including management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors and clients.
- Working knowledge of skilled trades including carpentry, masonry, concrete work, site excavation and grading, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC and electrical.
