Healthcare Construction - Assistant Superintendent

This Assistant Superintendent role gives you hands‑on leadership over daily site coordination for active healthcare construction projects. You'll support field execution, subcontractor supervision, safety enforcement, and milestone delivery on complex hospital and outpatient facility builds.

They're expanding their field team due to a steady pipeline of renovations, surgical suite upgrades, imaging installations, and emergency department expansions.

Description

• Oversee daily field activities on healthcare construction sites, ensuring safe and efficient workflow.
• Coordinate subcontractor crews, manage site logistics, and support schedule execution.
• Enforce ICRA protocols, infection control measures, and hospital safety requirements.
• Conduct quality checks, track progress, and collaborate with Project Managers on schedule + documentation.
• Assist with field reporting, site walkthroughs, punch lists, and issue resolution.
• Maintain relationships with hospital facility teams, inspectors, and trade partners.
• Utilize construction management tools (Procore, Bluebeam, CMiC) for documentation and communication.

Profile

A successful Assistant Superintendent should have:

• 2-5 years in commercial or healthcare construction with strong field exposure.

• Strong communicator who keeps the schedule moving and resolves issues quickly.
