Assistant Project Manager - $75M Public Project
With 30 Years of excellence, my client is a General Contractor based in the South Shore of Massachusetts (about 15 miles North East of Providence) specializing in Public, Restaurant, Retail, and general commercial projects along throughout Metro Boston and Southern Massachusetts. They are seeking an experienced, high-energy Assistant Project Manager to join their growing team.

I am partnered with a mid-sized General Contractor that has just opened and office South of Boston area of Boston (about 15 miles South of the city) that has been in business for over 30 years. This is a unique opportunity to work on a 24 month long Public Facility renovation in RI. They pride themselves in delivering over $100M of Public, Multifamily, commercial, and retail projects per year and are looking to add additional staff to their newly fit-out office in Bridgewater, MA. Description
- Collaborate with the PX to plan, execute, and close construction projects.
- Assist in developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Assist in monitoring project progress, identifying issues, and implementing solutions to keep projects on track.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes.
- Support the preparation of project status reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Contribute to project financial management, including budget tracking and cost control.
- Participate in regular project meetings and communicate project updates to team members.
- Comfortable in client-facing meetings - shows high potential as a future PM
Profile
- 2-5 years of relevant APM experience at a Commercial or Multifamily General Contractor
- Strong experience with documentation and change orders
- Motivated junior construction professional capable of keeping up in fast-paced environment and does well in client-facing situations
- Forward-thinking with the desire to continue learning and growing
- Bachelor's Degree in a construction-related field
- Procore experience
- Stand-out communication skills | Verbal & Written
- Commercial interiors, Multifamily, and/or Retail and Restaurant project experience is ideal
