Business Development Representative

Client Details

My client has a 25+ year history specializing in the dental and medical environments. They are a full-service, self-performing commercial construction company for ground-up, tenant improvement or rehab projects. They also manufacture custom, medical-grade cabinetry.

Description

Business Development

* Communicate with prospective or legacy clients or business partners to discover project opportunities.

* Meet sales goals by completing contracts.

* Oversee negotiated revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements

Achieve these goals by completing:

Project analysis:

Meet with prospective clients, designers, and other parties to discuss and learn

about the project.

Thoroughly review blueprints, construction documents, and specifications to understand project scope and requirements.

Project development:

Confer with authorities, co-workers and subs to plan or resolve any issue

Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients, representing the owner or developer

Collect needed CLIENT & FIELD information for drawings, estimates & project execution.

Study job specifications and efficiently plan the work to be performed

Proposal development:

Prepare comprehensive project proposals outlining the scope of work, estimated costs, project timeline, and potential risks.

Client presentations:

Present proposals to potential clients, addressing their concerns and highlighting the benefits of the proposed construction project.

Respond to client needs/concerns effectively and respectfully

Negotiation:

Negotiate contract terms and pricing with clients to reach mutually agreeable conditions.

Relationship building:

Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

Market research:

Stay updated on current construction costs, materials, and industry trends to ensure accurate estimates. Estimating / Design Project to complete sale in collaboration with Construction Team

* Assist with:

Creating estimates for any potential job

Secure pricing from vendors and sub contracts

Calculate job costs from previous jobs for labor and hours spent

Coordinate the bid, selection and contract processes with subs (external and internal such as the shop)

Corporate goals as lead public facing person:

Proactively share information with others in telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person

Assist in development of corporate initiatives, strategies and operational practices

Contribute in a leadership role

Identify operational challenges, propose solutions and coordinate execution

Monitor market impactors and opportunities, hardware & equipment advances, justify and build cooperative business relationships, etc.

Profile

General skills:

Exercise initiative, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Anticipates and prevents problems, helps solve team problems.

Demonstrates a willingness to work with others, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Respond willingly to changes in procedures and assignments.

• Technical knowledge:

In-depth understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.

• Estimating software proficiency:

Expertise in construction estimating software to generate accurate cost breakdowns. (The Comapny is willing to teach these skills and nuances)

• Analytical skills:

Ability to analyze complex project documents and identify potential cost factors.

• Communication skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication to effectively present proposals and address client concerns.

• Sales skills:

Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities to close deals and secure contracts.

• Relevant experience:

Experience with Business Development including client relationships and business to business relationships.

Previous experience as a construction estimator or similar role in the construction industry.

Familiarity with different construction project types (commercial, industrial).

Previous experience in the practice and specifically dental markets

Job Offer

  • Base Salary ranging from $100k -$120k.
