Senior Concrete Superintendent

$130,000 - $160,000/Year

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Construction Superintendent to lead and manage on-site construction operations for large-scale concrete projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive field experience, particularly in healthcare, education, or hospitality environments, and a proven ability to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Description



Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day field operations, including supervision of subcontractors, trades, and labor.

  • Ensure all concrete work (formwork, placement, finishing) is executed to the highest quality standards.

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating closely with project managers, engineers, and clients.

  • Enforce strict safety protocols and conduct regular site safety meetings and inspections.

  • Coordinate and communicate with architects, engineers, inspectors, and owners.

  • Lead project planning and sequencing to maximize efficiency and resource utilization.

  • Monitor material deliveries, manpower, equipment, and quality control.

  • Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and site documentation.

  • Proactively identify and resolve field issues and conflicts to avoid project delays.

  • Mentor and provide leadership to assistant superintendents and field staff.

Profile



Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of field experience, with at least 5 years as a superintendent in concrete construction.

  • Proven experience on complex projects in healthcare, education, or hospitality settings.

  • Strong understanding of structural concrete methods, scheduling, and sequencing.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, and specifications.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam, etc.) is a plus.

  • OSHA 30 certification required.

  • Strong commitment to job site safety and quality control.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working for a self-performing concrete contractor.

  • Familiarity with Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) protocols for healthcare environments.

  • Knowledge of LEED and sustainable construction practices.
