Description
Lead all preconstruction activities from conceptual design through GMP delivery on complex, ground-up commercial projects.
Oversee estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and value engineering efforts to ensure accuracy and alignment with client goals.
Manage and mentor a growing preconstruction team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional development.
Partner closely with operations, business development, and executive leadership to create winning project strategies and proposals.
Drive continuous improvement in processes, technology, and cost modeling to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and trade partners to support repeat business and market growth.
Profile
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and hands-on leader with a strong background in estimating and preconstruction management on large-scale, ground-up commercial projects ($50M+). You should bring 10-15+ years of relevant experience, including proven success managing teams, developing budgets, and securing profitable work. Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills are essential, as is the ability to build trust and influence at all levels. A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. You're proactive, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where quality and client satisfaction come first.
