Assistant Project Manager- Commercial Construction

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join a dynamic General Contractor in Fort Lauderdale. The role will focus on restaurant, retail, office space, and affordable housing projects, offering growth opportunities and hands-on project experience.

Description

• Assist the Project Manager with overall project coordination, scheduling, and budgeting

• Support preconstruction activities including subcontractor solicitation and bid analysis

• Track project progress, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met

• Prepare and manage project documentation, RFIs, submittals, and change orders

• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and field staff to ensure seamless execution

• Provide on-site support as needed to resolve issues and maintain project momentum

Profile

• 2-4 years of experience in commercial construction as an APM or Project Engineer

• Previous experience with restaurant, retail, office space, or affordable housing projects

• Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail

• Proficient in construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar)

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and support the project team in a fast-paced environment
