Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development- Set clear expectations for maintenance personnel and ensure consistent execution across daily activities.
- Provide coaching, development planning, and accountability for both technical and non‑technical team members.
- Promote a culture of safety, reliability, and high performance across the entire maintenance organization.
Maintenance Strategy & Reliability- Prioritize maintenance activities and allocate resources effectively across operations, safety, and engineering needs.
- Build and advance the site's reliability program, including improvements in preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- Develop organizational capability to deliver strong uptime, cost performance, and world‑class maintenance results.
- Manage the annual maintenance and repair (M&R) budget and track performance against targets.
Operational Stewardship- Lead change initiatives that elevate safety performance, environmental compliance, and overall productivity.
- Ensure proper work processes, documentation, and systems are in place to support efficient maintenance execution.
- Collaborate with procurement on vendor selection, spare parts strategy, and equipment lifecycle decisions.
- Support reliability, equipment integrity, and risk management through sound decision‑making and structured problem‑solving.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration- Partner closely with operations, engineering, and health/safety/environment (HSE) teams to align priorities and address plant needs.
- Champion initiatives that help employees reach their full potential while meeting broader organizational goals.
Profile
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting (chemical background preferred).
- At least 5 years in a leadership or management role overseeing maintenance teams.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage employees at all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated ability in coaching, talent development, and accountability.
- Solid analytical and judgment skills to effectively manage technical, safety, and operational risks.
- Knowledge of OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements.
Preferred
- Experience working in a unionized facility.
- Familiarity with SAP or similar maintenance/ERP systems.
- Proven success leading cultural or organizational change in safety, environmental performance, or reliability.
