Traveling Superintendent- Restaurant/Retail Experience

An entrepreneurial, fast‑growing retail construction contractor is expanding its field operations and is seeking experienced Traveling Superintendents to deliver projects nationwide. A mid-sized construction firm based in Arkansas has and expanding portfolio working with National clients building new retail and restaurants projects across the country. This company has secured several projects throughout the year and well afterwards which is why they are looking for skilled Traveling Superintendents.

Description

As a Traveling Superintendent, you will report directly to the General Superintendent and take full ownership of on‑site delivery for multiple retail construction projects across the United States.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading day‑to‑day site operations on fast‑paced retail builds
• Managing subcontractors, schedules, and quality control
• Ensuring strict adherence to health and safety standards
• Coordinating with Project Managers and senior leadership
• Driving projects to meet aggressive timelines and budgets
• Acting as the senior on‑site representative with clients and partners

Profile

• For the Traveling Superintendent role, we are seeking:
  
  • A strong background in retail or restaurant construction (essential)
  • Not targeting solely QSR (quick serve restaurants)
  • Proven experience delivering projects in live or fast‑track environments
  • Willingness and ability to travel nationally on a consistent basis
  • Confident, hands‑on leadership style with subcontractors and site teams
  • A self‑starter mindset suited to a lean, high‑trust organization
  • Exposure to healthcare or medical construction (advantageous, not essential)
  
  

Job Offer

• Base salary up to $125,000
• $600 per month vehicle allowance added to base salary
• Per Diem
• Full benefits package including medical and retirement plan
