Manufacturing Engineer - Industrial - Burlington, MA
My client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support and improve technology projects and manufacturing processes. This role requires hands-on problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally to drive product quality and efficiency.

Description
Reporting into the VP of Engineering, you will be responsible for the following:
- Develop, optimize, and maintain manufacturing processes.
- Support day-to-day production activities, including troubleshooting technical issues on the production floor.
- Design and implement tooling, fixtures, and test equipment to improve efficiency, repeatability, and safety.
- Collaborate with Design Engineering during product development to ensure manufacturability (DFM) and smooth transition to production.
- Create and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process flow diagrams.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Train production staff on new processes and equipment.
- Interface with Quality to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and internal quality standards.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) efforts for product or process non-conformances.
Profile
A successful Manufacturing Engineer should have:
- Bachelor's degree in and engineering discipline or equivalent relevant experience working in a machine shop/factory.
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
- Strong understanding of electronics manufacturing processes, including soldering (SMT and through-hole), PCB assembly, and system integration.
- Proficiency with CAD (e.g., SolidWorks) and experience with ERP/MRP systems.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Job Offer
