Description

• Lead the preconstruction process from concept through final budget approval.
• Develop and maintain detailed cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, and value‑engineering options.
• Collaborate closely with project executives, estimators, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accuracy and alignment on project scope.
• Prepare and manage preconstruction schedules, logistics plans, and risk assessments.
• Facilitate bid processes and subcontractor outreach; ensure competitive pricing and qualified coverage.
• Participate in design reviews to ensure constructability and alignment with budget/owner expectations.
• Present budgets, analyses, and recommendations to internal teams and clients.
• Maintain awareness of market conditions, material costs, and subcontractor performance in the South Florida region.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in preconstruction roles within commercial construction.
• Strong knowledge of local Fort Lauderdale market costs, subcontractors, and permitting requirements.
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, On‑Screen Takeoff, ProEst, Assemble, or similar).
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple preconstruction projects simultaneously.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with owners, design partners, and internal teams.
