We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join a leading company in the industrial/manufacturing sector. This role involves designing and implementing automation solutions to improve operational efficiency and productivity.

Client Details

Our client is a long-established American manufacturing company that specializes in process equipment for the polymer processing industry, particularly for rubber and plastics.

Description

• Develop and implement automation systems to optimize manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address operational challenges.
• Design, program, and test control systems, including PLCs and HMIs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation equipment and processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all automation projects.
• Document processes, designs, and modifications for future reference.
• Provide training and support to staff on automated systems and technologies.
• Stay updated on the latest automation technologies and industry trends.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field.

• 3+ years of experience in automation engineering for industrial machinery, preferably in plastics or heavy equipment industries.

• Proficiency in:

o Siemens PLC programming (TIA Portal)

o Rockwell PLC programming (Studio 5000)

o AVEVA InTouch HMI configuration

• Experience with large motors and VFDs (≥600kW) including commissioning and parameter setup.

• Strong knowledge of safety standards and industrial control systems design.

• Familiarity with communication protocols and industrial networking.

• Experience conducting FATs and troubleshooting control logic in live environments.

• • Must have knowledge of automation systems including instrumentation (analog and digital), Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems including programming, startup and troubleshooting.
