Project Manager (Excavation) - Richmond, VA
The Project Manager will oversee sitework and demolition projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, site development, and earthwork, with proven experience in budgeting, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination.

Description
- Project Oversight: Manage all aspects of sitework and demolition projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to specifications.
- Scheduling & Coordination: Develop project schedules, coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain progress and efficiency.
- Budget & Cost Control: Prepare and track project budgets, ensuring cost control and profitability.
- Permitting & Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and safety standards.
- Safety & Quality Assurance: Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies, conducting regular inspections to uphold safety and quality standards.
- Client & Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, engineers, and inspectors, providing regular progress updates and addressing concerns.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve project challenges, proactively mitigating risks to keep projects on track.
Profile
- 5+ years of experience in construction project management, preferably in sitework, excavation, or demolition.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Strong knowledge of earthwork, grading, utility installation, and demolition processes.
- Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or similar).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and site plans.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
