Quality Engineer - Machining Manufacturer | Maywood, IL

Our client, an automotive manufacturer based just south of O'Hare Airport, is looking to add an experienced Quality Engineer to their team. This position will play a key role in supporting all aspects of the quality department, with a strong emphasis on leveraging and optimizing their newly implemented Mitutoyo CMM systems.

Client Details

Our client is a contract manufacturer with expertise in precision-drawn metal stampings, producing metal cases for bonded piston, wheel-bearing, shaft, and lip seals. They serve the automotive, industrial, and agricultural sealing markets and are well known for their dedication to quality and long-standing customer relationships. In this role, the focus will be on CMM programming, applying GD&T, and providing support for PPAPs and audits.

Description

• CMM Programming (mitutoyo experience)
• Assisting in the PPAP process
• Experience with measuring equipment
• Lead Corrective Actions through Root Cause Analysis methods
• Reading and interpreting blueprints
• Help with IATF 16949 Internal Audits

Profile

• 3+ years of experience in a quality manufacturing setting
• CMM Programming experience with Mitutoyo Machines
• Background in automotive manufacturing and the standards associated
• Experience with leading or assisting with internal audits
• Strong experience with PPAPs
• Strong Root Cause and Corrective Action experience.
• GD&T Experience

Job Offer

• Salary Range between $75,000 - $85,000
• 2-3 weeks of PTO
