A top-tier general contractor is seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support commercial interior fit-out projects across New York City. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile office spaces for major clients in finance, law, tech, and media.

Client Details

Our client is a well-established general contractor known for its excellence in high-end commercial interior buildouts throughout Manhattan. Their team has a reputation for delivering complex projects on time and under budget, while fostering a collaborative and growth-focused work culture.

Description

  • Support the Project Manager in overseeing the full project lifecycle of commercial interior projects

  • Track budgets, schedules, RFIs, submittals, and change orders

  • Coordinate subcontractor schedules and assist with weekly progress meetings

  • Maintain project documentation and assist with procurement of long-lead items

  • Interface with clients, design teams, and consultants to ensure project alignment

  • Conduct site walks and ensure work aligns with project plans and safety standards

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field

  • 2-4 years of experience in commercial interiors, preferably in NYC

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and Procore (or similar project management platforms)

  • A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • The ability to prioritize and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • A team-first attitude with a passion for quality and client satisfaction
