Project Manager - Commercial Construction

A Chattanooga‑based GC is seeking a Project Manager to oversee ground‑up projects throughout the greater Chattanooga market. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented construction leader who enjoys full project lifecycle management while remaining mostly local, with only 5-6 days of travel per month. You'll manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client communication for a steady pipeline of work.

They maintain strong client relationships, a healthy backlog, and provide PMs with the tools, support, and autonomy needed to run successful projects.

Description

• Manage all phases of commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractor coordination
• Partner effectively with Superintendents to ensure quality and jobsite safety
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and engineers
• Oversee buyout, change orders, RFIs, and project documentation
• Conduct project meetings and provide consistent progress reporting
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to company standards

Profile

• 5+ years of Project Manager experience with a commercial GC
• Proven background in ground‑up or interior commercial construction
• Strong financial management, scheduling, and subcontractor oversight skills
• Excellent communication and client‑facing abilities
• Proficiency with construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.)
• Ability to accommodate minimal monthly travel (5-6 days)
