Project Manager - Commercial Construction - Portland, ME
Our client has over 50 years of experience in the construction industry, specializing in general commercial projects, affordable housing, and historical renovations. Our client is a well-established General Contractor and Construction Management firm that has been serving the New England region for over 50 years. Description
The Project Manager will be responsible for:

Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout -
Manage budgets, cost control, and financial reporting to ensure projects are completed within scope and on budget -
Coordinate and communicate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to maintain project alignment -
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, identifying critical path activities and adjusting timelines as needed -
Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure compliance with project requirements -
Lead project meetings and facilitate issue resolution to keep construction activities on track -
Ensure all work complies with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards -
Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services to meet project timelines -
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, enforce quality control, and support field supervision -
Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress reports
