Description
The Commercial Interiors Project Superintendent - Rockville, MD will be responsible for:
As the Superintendent, you will lead the on-site coordination of all construction activities, ensuring each project is delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards of quality. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong field expertise, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a keen attention to detail-particularly within high-paced tenant improvement and commercial interiors settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day site operations, including subcontractor scheduling, quality assurance, and safety compliance.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and design teams to align on project objectives and execution.
- Maintain thorough project documentation such as daily logs, schedules, and inspection reports.
- Enforce job site safety protocols and proactively identify and address potential risks.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work aligns with plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Lead and facilitate on-site meetings with subcontractors, vendors, and consultants.
- Assist in project close-out, including punch list management and coordination of final inspections.
Profile
The Commercial Interiors Project Superintendent - Rockville, MD will have:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent, with a strong background in commercial interiors or tenant improvement projects.
- In-depth understanding of construction methods, building codes, safety regulations, and project scheduling.
- Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or equivalent platforms.
- OSHA 30 certification is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead field teams with professionalism, accountability, and a results-driven mindset.
