Our client is a Metals Manufacturing Company and they are seeking an experienced Quality Inspection Manager to lead the inspection team and ensure compliance with rigorous quality standards in metal manufacturing. This role requires deep expertise in First Article Inspection (FAI) processes and a strong understanding of industry requirements for precision components. Description
The Quality Inspection Manager - Manufacturing will be responsible for the following:
- Oversee all inspection activities, including incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
- Lead and manage the FAI process in accordance with AS9102 and customer specifications.
- Develop and maintain inspection procedures, work instructions, and quality documentation.
- Train and mentor inspection personnel on FAI requirements and best practices.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and customer-specific standards.
- Prepare and present quality metrics and inspection reports to senior management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inspection efficiency and accuracy.

Profile
The ideal Quality Inspection Manager - Manufacturing will have the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in quality inspection within metal manufacturing or aerospace/defense industries.
- Strong expertise in FAI processes and AS9102 requirements.
- Familiarity with precision measurement tools and techniques (CMM, calipers, micrometers, etc.).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in quality management systems and ERP software.
- ASQ certifications (CQI, CQT, or CQE).
- Experience with NADCAP and special process audits.
- Knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading.
