Description
Assistant Controller Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.
- Assist in consolidating financial statements and producing management reporting packages.
- Identify opportunities to improve close efficiency and reporting accuracy.
- Oversee day‑to‑day accounting functions including A/P, A/R, payroll accounting, fixed assets, and general ledger.
- Ensure all accounting operations follow GAAP and company policies.
- Maintain proper documentation and accounting treatment for complex transactions.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to validate financial information and support business activities.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management of team members.
- Promote a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5 years of combined experience in financial analysis and accounting
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel for financial modeling.
- Knowledge of GAAP
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
