CISO Consultant (Mandarin Speaking)
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead our organization's cybersecurity and IT security initiatives.

Description
- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive cybersecurity strategies aligned with industry standards.
- Lead enterprise-wide IT governance initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements including relevant standards.
- Manage IT infrastructure, including distributed systems, firewalls, and network architecture (WAN, LAN).
- Oversee the deployment of secure application development practices utilizing frameworks.
- Lead efforts in business continuity planning and disaster recovery to safeguard critical data and operations.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning, budgeting, and resource allocation for cybersecurity initiatives.
- Manage teams responsible for operational security.
- Conduct ongoing risk assessments, vulnerability management, and incident response planning to mitigate potential threats.
- Stay current with emerging technologies like advancements in cybersecurity tools to enhance organizational defenses.
- Negotiate vendor contracts for cybersecurity solutions, cloud services, and hardware procurement ensuring optimal value and compliance.
Profile
- Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) required for clear communication with head office.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in Financial Services Risk Management, Audit, IT/IS Operations, Data Privacy, or other relevant functions.
- Professional experience in information security, cybersecurity, or IT risk management.
- Experience with security monitoring, access management, incident response, and vulnerability management tools, including hands-on operational work.
- Strong understanding of network security, operating system security, and common cybersecurity concepts, along with familiarity with local IT/IS regulatory frameworks-especially Part 500.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and head office IT/IS departments.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent are preferred.
- Prior experience within financial services is preferred but not required.
- Previous management experience is not required.
- This role is not intended for highly seasoned or deeply technical cybersecurity professionals-ideal for someone early in their security career with solid foundational knowledge.
