Development Manager

The Development Project Manager in the affordable housing real estate space will oversee and manage development projects, from start to finish, ensuring they align with organizational goals and standards. This role requires strong leadership and project management skills to deliver high-quality results in Huntington Station.

Description

• Underwriting and acquisitions.
• Manage and oversee property development projects from inception to completion.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets while monitoring progress and performance.
• Ensure compliance with all local regulations, codes, and standards.
• Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project status.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure that client expectations are met or exceeded.
• Ensure all projects are completed on time and within budget.

Profile

A successful Development Manager should have:

• A strong background in affordable housing, LIHTC and Section 8, ground up and tenant in place.
• A qualification in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Urban Planning or something aligned
• Strong underwriting skills and experience in predevelopment.
• Exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of local building regulations and compliance standards.
• Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
• A results-driven mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality projects.
