Project Coordinator | Commercial Construction | Kansas City
A Project Coordinator in general commercial construction plays a key role in supporting day-to-day project operations. Responsibilities also include administrative support such as managing documentation, tracking budgets, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. No prior construction experience required!

One of Kansas City's top general contractors! This construction company is located in downtown Kansas City and has a track record for excellence. Many of the projects they do are in commercial, healthcare, education, and retail projects. They are looking to grow their team with a Project Coordinator that wants a long-term career with an established, flexible, and family-oriented company. Description
- Support the project management team.
- Accounting experience.
- Manage project files.
- Draft and finalize client agreements.
- Collect lien waivers.
- Handle all documentation tasks.
- Request necessary insurance certificates.
- Provide support throughout all project phases.
- Collaborate with the Controller to ensure accurate cost code usage.
- Assist with organizing weekly project reports.
- Maintain subcontractor insurance.
- Issue subcontractor contracts as directed by the Project Manager.
- Prepare and submit permits and municipal submittals.
Profile
- 2+ years of administrative experience required
- 1+ years of construction experience preferred but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent, college degree prefered
- Organizational skills
- Communication skills
- Experience with construction related software preferred but not necessary
- Ability to work with subcontractors and vendors
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
Job Offer
- A competitive base salary between $50,000 - $65,000 (Depending on Experience)
