Staff Accountant
The staff accountant supports the financial operations of a development company by preparing journal entries, maintaining general ledger accuracy, and assisting with monthly and year-end close processes. This role also involves tracking project costs, supporting budgeting efforts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage monthly general ledger close processes, including preparation and posting of journal entries for 15-18 properties
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts
- Reconcile and process real estate tax bills in a timely and accurate manner
- Support internal and external financial reporting requirements
- Assist with ad hoc projects and analyses based on evolving business needs
- Provide general support to the Accounting team as needed
Profile
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 3-5 years of general ledger experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Yardi Voyager, and QuickBooks
- Detail-oriented with a proven ability to consistently meet deadlines
- Experience in property management and/or residential construction is a plus
