System Administrator

A client is looking to hire a System Administrator who will manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers (Windows & Linux), cloud platforms like AWS, virtualization tools, and networking systems to ensure stability, performance, and security across hybrid environments. Acting as a subject matter expert, they will handle tasks such as OS administration, scripting, security, backups, and cloud services, while proactively addressing issues in a fast-paced setting. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and Mandarin or Cantonese.

Description

• Oversee the full lifecycle of Windows/Linux servers, virtual environments (VMware), and networking systems, ensuring optimal performance, upgrades, and security compliance.

• Manage AWS cloud services (e.g., EC2, S3, IAM), install and maintain on-prem and cloud-based applications, and support Office 365 and Active Directory configurations.

• Address vulnerabilities through patching and configuration management, ensure adherence to IT policies, and collaborate with security teams during audits and incident response.

• Automate tasks using scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python) and monitor infrastructure health with tools like Datadog, Dynatrace, or Grafana.

• Provide Tier 2/3 support, maintain detailed IT documentation, assist with training, and participate in on-call rotations and special projects as needed.
