Mid-size General Contractor, based in the Triad, is looking for a Senior Estimator to join their team! Upcoming projects in the Triad area.

Focus on Commercial, Healthcare, Industrial projects, ranging from $5M-$20M with a mix of new construction, fit-outs & renovation work.

Although they're a smaller firm, they take on high profile projects - Ability to grow to a Director level role within 18-24 months.

Description

Working directly alongside the Director of Precon, Senior Estimator - Leading NC General Contractor - Triad will be responsible for:

  • Determining the total cost of materials, equipment, utilities, and labor for construction projects.
  • Researching construction documents and analyzing specifications.
  • Preparing estimates for planning, organizing, and scheduling project work.
  • Managing pre-qualification and pre-bid submissions.
  • Preparing estimates to meet project goals, such as setting work hours, sequencing tasks, obtaining materials, and securing the best deals with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Ensuring that relevant documents and budgets are submitted before a bid deadline.
  • Regularly reporting to Management and keeping clients updated on the project status.
  • Formulating contingency plans and effectively managing risks that might impact cost and time estimates.
  • Keeping track of the latest estimating technology and industry-related techniques.
  • Collaborating with other teams, conducting site visits, and providing other services, like bid deliveries, when required.

Profile

The successful Senior Estimator - Leading NC General Contractor - Triad will have the following experience:

  • 5+ years of Construction estimating expereince with a General Contractor.
  • Knowledge of scheduling, estimating, and cost principles.
  • Basic knowledge of project management Software
  • A mature professional with excellent judgment.
  • A highly entrepreneurial, self-motivated and results-oriented individual.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and intuitive interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management skills, adaptable with ability to manage multiple priorities & meet deadlines, and keen attention to detail
