The Senior Project Manager role focuses on leading construction projects within the Life Science sector. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to manage high-profile projects while collaborating with a skilled team in San Jose.

Client Details

Our client is a highly respected General Contractor with more than 30 years of experience across life science, cleanroom, healthcare, data center, and commercial interiors projects throughout the Bay Area.

The company is known for its strong culture, stability, and client-first approach-valuing relationships and quality delivery over headcount growth. With its highest revenue year to date and a robust project pipeline, the firm is continuing its upward trajectory with several exciting large-scale projects on the horizon. Additionally, this is a company where talented people grow and stay. They're employee-owned (ESOP) and driven by long-term success, not short-term gains.

Regarding this role they're looking to fill, the company is seeking a Senior Project Manager (or emerging Project Executive) to help lead and oversee multiple complex projects, primarily in the life science and commercial markets.

This is a strategic, leadership-track position - ideal for someone who wants to grow into a Project Executive role and help shape the future of the business. You'll manage projects at a high level, ensure client satisfaction, and guide teams of 5-6 professionals while helping strengthen the company's relationships and brand within the South Bay and Peninsula markets.

Description

  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget goals are met.
  • Lead and mentor a team of 5-6 project and field staff, fostering growth and accountability.
  • Manage client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Collaborate with preconstruction, field operations, and executive leadership to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Support business development through networking and brand building (not expected to bring all your own clients).
  • Partner with leadership to help drive the company's continued expansion in the life science and commercial markets.
