Mechatronics Engineer - Industrial Manufacturing - Peabody, MA
The Mechatronics Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and validating custom and next generation electro‑mechanical actuator systems, integrating mechanical, electrical, and control components. This role combines hands‑on engineering, CAD proficiency, and cross functional collaboration to support product development from concept through production. Client Details

Description
In this role you will report to the VP of Engineering and be responsible for:
- Designing and documenting electro‑mechanical systems from concept through production
- Developing components and assemblies for complex motion control products
- Performing analysis, troubleshooting, and testing at component and system levels
- Creating test procedures, assembly processes, and technical reports
- Collaborating with purchasing and manufacturing to source components and build accurate bills of materials
- Communicating technical information clearly with internal teams, customers, and vendors
- Managing and prioritizing multiple engineering projects and daily tasks
- Following and recommending improvements to engineering development processes
- Providing technical leadership and mentoring fellow engineers
- Participating in root cause investigations and supporting corrective action activities
Profile
The successful candidate will have
- BS in Engineering
- 4-8 years of experience in industrial product design and development
- SolidWorks and GD&T familiarity
- Experience integrating electro‑mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to perform hands‑on assembly, testing, and troubleshooting
- Strong communication, project management, and documentation skills
- Familiarity with electrical test equipment, programming tools (e.g., Python or LabVIEW), or servo drive commissioning (plus)
