The Traveling Superintendent will supervise field construction of a single large or complex project, or multiple projects and serve as company-wide subject matter resource for construction operations. Leverage construction operations expertise to provide technical and organizational planning and scheduling guidance to project operations in order to complete work on time, within budget, and to quality specified.

Key Responsibilities of a General Superintendent | Data Center - Traveling

• Supervise field construction of a single large or complex project, or multiple projects and serve as a company-wide subject matter resource for construction operations.
• Partner with Operations Manager or Self-Perform Manager to coordinate assignments of project staff, including Superintendents, Foremen, Staff, and Trade partners.
• Provide guidance to Superintendent and Foreman for developing staffing projections and Work In Place (WIP) utilizing application software in use on project.
• Leverage construction operations expertise to provide technical and organizational planning and scheduling guidance to Superintendent and Foreman throughout duration of projects.
• Oversee and provide guidance on development of logistics plans and schedules during pre-construction and early project activities.
• Review project schedules with Superintendents and Foreman to ensure critical activities and decisions remain on task and provide Required-On-Job (ROJ) dates to project management team.

Profile

A Successful General Superintendent | Data Center - Traveling

• Bachelor's Degree from accredited degree program in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field, and minimum of 20 years of construction experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Extensive knowledge of Construction Operations including Self-Perform Operations (SPO)
• Extensive knowledge of Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) and project Safety programs
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of general and subcontract documents, drawings, specifications, construction means, methods, and materials, understanding of line and grade and survey methods
• Thorough knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, and engineering principles and techniques, and accounting principles
• Proficient knowledge of building codes and compliance
• Extensive project management experience, able to manage high volumes of work and various size project(s) successfully to completion, on time, and within budget
