The Senior Plastics Engineer is responsible for leading engineering initiatives that install, improve, and evaluate both new and existing manufacturing equipment and processes. This role translates customer requirements into stable, efficient processes that minimize the cost of poor quality and enhance customer satisfaction.

- Apply structured problem‑solving techniques using statistical and data‑analysis tools to understand, stabilize, and improve manufacturing processes.
- Plan, execute, and analyze multi‑phase validation activities to confirm that new equipment, tooling, and processes meet performance and quality requirements.
- Develop and maintain Project Charters and Implementation Plans, including scope, objectives, resources, timelines, and anticipated outcomes.
- Serve as a technical liaison with development and design teams; participate in design and project reviews.
- Create product and equipment specifications to ensure new processes can be successfully manufactured at scale.
- Support the transition of new technologies or process solutions into full operations through documentation, operator training, and development of standard operating procedures.
- Establish control plans that ensure improvements are sustained over time.
- Contribute to the development and execution of operational strategies aligned with regional and global Operational Excellence initiatives.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or related field; 5‑9 years of relevant industry experience required.
- Expertise in applied statistics, process validation, root cause analysis, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Self‑directed learning ability across books, online resources, and classroom training.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 10%).
