Description

The In-House Legal Counsel will provide varied legal advice and expertise:

• Handling key commercial and operational legal matters including new entity creation, regulatory/ compliance, real estate, leasing and construction contracts for new locations as the company expands their US footprint.
• Work directly with senior stakeholders including the General Counsel (based in Europe) providing them with US legal advice, collaborating with the wider business, advising on legal matters and providing robust solutions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements including employment contracts to ensure compliance with legal standards.
• Support the organization in managing legal risks and implementing effective risk mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Manage external legal counsel as needed.

Candidates must be based in the Miami area, able to work hybrid from the Miami office 2 days per week, and have US work authorization now and indefinitely.

Profile

The successful In-House Legal Counsel should have:

• Fluent French language skills - essential.
• A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active US Bar in good standing, ideally Florida and/ or New York State Bar.
• Strong working knowledge (7+ years legal experience, at least 5 years US in-house experience).
• Excellent contract drafting, reviewing, and negotiation skills.
• Real estate, lease review and construction contract experience.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and manage multiple priorities.
