• Lead daily manufacturing operations, including production, staffing, scheduling, and floor readiness* Ensure on‑time delivery, throughput, and production efficiency across all assigned areas
* Oversee supervisors, leads, and production teams; build and develop high‑performing staff
* Partner with engineering on manufacturability, process stability, and defect reduction
* Collaborate with quality to maintain compliance, address escapes, and support audits
* Drive Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve flow
* Monitor and report on KPIs including yield, cycle time, inventory accuracy, and labor efficiency
* Resolve operational bottlenecks, equipment issues, and production variances
* Support customer builds, site readiness, and cross‑functional planning activities
* Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant manufacturing environment
* Coordinate resource planning, shift transitions, and workload balancing
* Support implementation of new processes, technologies, and manufacturing capabilities
* Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for operational issues

Profile
A successful Vice President of Operations should have:
• 5-10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience (EMS or electronics preferred)* Strong background in production operations, scheduling, and resource management
* Experience leading teams in a fast‑paced, customer‑driven environment
* Knowledge of PCB assembly, electronics manufacturing processes, or complex assemblies
* Familiarity with Lean, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies
* Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving abilities
* Strong collaboration across engineering, planning, supply chain, and quality
Preferred:
* Experience in defense, aerospace, medical, or other regulated industries
* Background in high‑mix, low‑to‑mid‑volume production environments
* Experience with ERP/MES systems and KPI‑driven operational managemen
