Education Construction Superintendent

$115,000 - $130,000/Year

Create and execute project preplanning activities with subcontractors. Coordinate subcontractors, architects, inspectors and suppliers to resolve any problems with materials or methods. Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules

Description

  • Guide & Develop: Mentor Assistant Superintendents, Field Engineers, and Interns to foster a strong, skilled team.

  • Ensure Quality & Safety: Maintain high construction standards while prioritizing a safe work environment for all.

  • Interpret Plans: Analyze drawings and specifications to ensure accurate project execution.

  • Track Progress: Keep detailed daily reports, including photographs, to document site activity.

  • Collaborate with Inspectors: Build strong relationships with local inspectors and code officials for smooth approvals.

  • Secure Final Approvals: Oversee all required inspections to ensure projects obtain final permit sign-offs and certificates of occupancy.

Profile

Ground up experience with K-12 or Higher Education projects.

Preferred Experience & Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Healthcare, Education, Multi-family, Senior Living, and Mixed-use projects-prior experience in any of these sectors is a strong advantage.

  • Proven leadership capabilities, with the ability to motivate, guide, and develop teams for peak performance.

  • Exceptional communication skills, fostering clear, effective collaboration across all project levels.

  • Highly organized and strategic, with a talent for prioritization, problem-solving, and analytical decision-making.

  • Strong ability to assess team strengths and weaknesses, providing training and mentorship to enhance skills and efficiency.

  • A disciplined, structured mindset, ensuring smooth operations and a proactive approach to challenges.

  • Excellent teaching and coaching abilities, inspiring confidence and growth within the team.

  • Strong mathematical and computer proficiency, essential for precision in construction management.
