Senior Estimator - Rhode Island - $200k
We're partnering with a well‑established New England commercial builder to identify a Senior Estimator who can lead complex estimating efforts on mid‑sized construction projects. This is a great opportunity for a highly seasoned estimator seeking long‑term stability, influence, and growth.

Our client is a respected, family‑built construction firm with offices in Cranston, RI and Foxborough, MA, delivering projects across MA, RI, and CT-with heavy volume in southern MA. Since the mid‑1980s, they've built a strong reputation for honesty, craftsmanship, and delivering quality results across public, institutional, life sciences, and commercial markets. With steady growth and zero layoffs in their history, they offer a rare level of security paired with major expansion plans.
As the Senior Estimator, you'll manage full‑cycle estimating for projects typically ranging from $5M-$20M, with most falling in the $10M-$15M range. You'll take ownership of the entire pricing process, work closely with leadership, and contribute directly to the company's long‑term growth plans. This is a critical hire due to projected expansion and increased project volume.
Description
- Lead the full estimating lifecycle from concept through final submission for public and private commercial projects.
- Develop accurate and timely estimates within standard 2-3 week bid timelines.
- Perform detailed quantity take‑offs, subcontractor outreach, bid leveling, and cost analysis.
- Prepare scopes, evaluate drawings and specifications, and ensure completeness of all estimating deliverables.
- Support preconstruction efforts and collaborate closely with Project Management, Field Ops, and Leadership.
- Maintain up‑to‑date cost databases and track market pricing trends across MA, RI, and CT.
- Represent the estimating function in internal meetings and provide mentorship to junior estimators.
- Coordinate with operations teams to support seamless project handoff after award.
