Senior Project Accountant
A well-established and growing construction services organization with a long history of success is seeking a Senior Project Accountant to join the team.

Manage and drive the monthly billing process, including communication with customers to ensure timely and accurate payments
Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
Partner with project managers to establish, maintain, and track project budgets
Process subcontractor payments accurately and on schedule
Collect and manage compliance documentation
Reconcile project costs and participate in job close-out procedures
Support internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to GAAP and internal control standards
Contribute to process improvements and help implement new functionalities within the ERP system

Assist with general accounting activities, including:
Monthly, quarterly, and annual G/L account reconciliations
Month-end and year-end close processes
Preparation of financial reports and account analyses
Review of account and bank reconciliations
Development and implementation of improved financial controls and procedures
Profile
Strong knowledge of construction project accounting
5+ years of relevant project accounting experience
Hands-on expertise in project invoicing and billing
Solid understanding of job cost accounting, percentage-of-completion revenue recognition, and WIP reporting
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively with both internal project teams and external business partners
A continuous improvement mindset and eagerness to enhance processes
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
