Accounting Manager

We're seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations in a manufacturing environment. This role ensures accurate reporting, supports cost and inventory accounting, and upholds GAAP compliance. The Accounting Manager leads two accountants and partners with operations and supply chain to drive financial performance.

Description

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries with accuracy and completeness.

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts monthly.

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.

• Perform bank, account, and intercompany reconciliations.

• Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate accounting for business transactions.

• Support external and internal audits by preparing necessary documentation and schedules.

• Identify and recommend process improvements for accounting systems and workflows.

• Participate actively in the implementation and optimization of a new ERP system.

• Manage and process weekly payroll.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Controller.

Profile

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)

Experience:

• 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience

• Experience in a manufacturing environment is required

Preferred Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to interpret complex data and make sound decisions

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Epicor, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics) and Microsoft Office; Epicor experience highly preferred

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines

• Comfortable thriving in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Familiarity with financial analysis and budgeting

• Self-motivated and focused on continuous improvement
